| | | - McCoy signs for Tebnin:
Versatility and a winning attitude are what Jason McCoy (208-F/C, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) is ready to offer.
The lean and athletic forward from Houston, Texas, will arrive in Lebanon at 7:00p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 to join Tebnin for the season.
As a forward, McCoy is versatile, and can face-up or play with his back to the basket.
My strength as a player is my versatility and a winning attitude because I've my entire career of playing basketball and I know how to win, Jason said.
Playing for the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (NCAA), McCoy made it to the Tournament Sweet 16 in 2005. As a pro player, he reached both the league and cup semifinals in Montenegro in 2007.
Jasons brother and agent, Corey McCoy, president of 610 Sports Management, is confident of his players abilities.
I think McCoy will do well because he adapts well to styles of play, Corey McCoy said.
He is long and athletic, and can score back against the basket but can face guys & drive in or shoot from three.
McCoy is subject to a try-out period before his contract goes into effect. He joins the Div.A rookies Tebnin after playing professionally in Turkey, Montenegro and the Czech Republic.
My expectation is to continue to show the world how good of a player I am and hopefully make the team the best in Lebanon!

- Champville to ink with Christensen:
laying four positions on the floor has certainly given Mike Christensen (203-G/F-85, agency: Pro Management Agency) an edge over players his age.
The young American forward has just finished his 4-year college career at New Hampshire (NCAA) and is as eager as ever to start playing professionally.
I can't wait, Mike admitted. I have been working my whole college career for this opportunity and I am just ready to make the most of it.
The 69 Virginia native arrives in Beirut the evening of October 1, 2008 to meet his new team, Champville (LEB-Div.A).
Mike has done his part of asking around for information on the Lebanese league, but his main concern for now is to start his pro career in a positive way.
Everything I've heard [about the league] is positive, Christensen said.
My expectations are to make a positive difference for the team and the community. I'm sure there will be an adjustment phase, but I've done everything I can to make sure that physically and mentally I'm ready to go from day one.
So far in college, Christensen has played positions 1 to 4, and is comfortable in any.
The important thing is that I'm playing, so wherever the coach feels I can best help the team, I'm there.
The Lebanese Div.A league is scheduled to start on November 1, 2008.
